This morning we received a general threat concern shared by a parent. In response, we immediately contacted local law enforcement and entered a soft lockdown as a precaution. During this time, classes continued as normal, but students and staff remained in classrooms while the hallways were kept clear.
Law enforcement has completed their investigation and determined that the social media post originated from out of state and did not specifically name our school. The soft lockdown has now ended, and we have resumed our normal schedule.
As always, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Tomorrow will be an early release day. The entire district will release early for anyone who would like to attend the MCHS Girls' basketball game at Butler High School. The Lady Indians have made it to the Elite 8 and the trip is over 3 hours. This will allow for adequate travel time for all who need or want to attend.
Yes, scheduled games, meetings, and practices at North Murray High School can continue as scheduled. Please see your sponsor or coach for more details.
